The main goal of this deck is to go wide. The Heroes are pretty weak in general, but the rebel decoys and the addition of black for escape route helps to make sure your opponents don't get a massive gold lead and snowball. The Item Deck features 3 Traveler's Cloaks as a way to bulk up your Heroes a bit and keep them on board, as well as being a low cost item to buy early on to help assure you're hitting the more synergistic items in your shop when you need them. You're not going to get a lot of gold with this deck so make sure to buy items when you need them that turn. Diabolic Revelation is a powerful draw spell with a pretty significant downside, however it's synergies with Vhoul Matyr and Prey on the Week make it's downside slightly less significant and worth playing 3 of. Escape Route, in my opinion, is a very underrated card, and it's ability to deny gold, as well as quickly moving your Heroes lane to lane make it super impactful. The edition of Black into this archetype allows you to play Disciple of Nevermore to close out towers quickly, but leaves you very vulnerable to removal so make sure not to use it until you know you can win the lane. Other than that, most of this deck's decision making comes in the first two turns when deciding where to place Escape Routes, Mist of Avernus, and Assault Ladders, so my advice would be to focus those first couple turns on denying your opponent a significant gold lead. If you're able to do that, it's a very straightforward deck to play (as long as you understand the synergies I previously mentioned) and you can have a lot of fun smacking the living sh*t out of your opponent's towers. Have Fun! :)

Can you comment on the Item choices? I totally get Book of the dead and it seems great, Blink Dagger is auto-include aswell but Traveler's Cloak feels a little bit underwhelming. Stonehall Cloak seems just to be the better equipment in general.
